Help updating Zwave firmware

I am trying to update the Z-Wave device "Zooz ZSE42 Water Leak XS Sensor" via "Hubitat \ App \ Device Firmware Updater".

I cannot get passed this message below:

Firmware Update Status

Device Firmware Updater: Getting Device Versions

I also have "waken up" the device by: "Click the Z-Wave button 4
times quickly to wake the sensor
up manually."

If there is an easier way, please let me know too. I was hoping Hubitat was going to automatically update devices when they wakeup, or at least alert me and ask me.

This is correct, battery powered devices are required to be awake for a firmware update. This is a zwave thing, not a hubitat thing.

I haven't use the FW updated for quite a while, but when I did I sometimes had to shut down the hub/pull power & wait 30s/restore power before doing the FW update.

Can't hurt, and might help to try that if you aren't having success.

Bryan fixed the Updater in the last month or so - I was able to update several devices (LR or mesh) back-to-back with no issues and no in-between reboots.

My test for it was actually doing 4 zse42s, and the updates all went fast & smooth.

Making sure battery devices are awake is key. In teh past, I've also had good luck with Disabling uncooperative devices to get the update done.
