Just bought the C8 and have updated my software and then migrated the account to the new hub. Alas 80% of my smart home has stopped working!
What works
direct control of zigbee lights via hubitat
approx 10% of automations (I think possibly the ones on the newest version of rule machine)
google home (now I've relinked it)
What doesn't work
cannot control any zwave devices at all, tried repairing z-wave network but didn't work
most rule motion rules
motion lighting
Any tips?
Regarding zwave, I'm nervous to trial resetting the radio as all my aeotec nano switches and dimmers are in the roof/wall space so I can't access them to reset / re-pair them.
Any help appreciated!
Edit: just realised it seems to have kicked all my zigbee motion sensors off the network. But even after rejoining them automations not firing
Thanks bobbyD - alas tried that and didnt work. Fortunately after going around and repairing all my zigbee motion sensors most things appear back online.
My biggest issue now is that I've lost connection to all the aeotec nano switches and dimmers and cannot physically access them to exclude/include them as they're built into the walls/roof.
Try shutting down your hub and restarting it - unless there was a significant problem w/your Z-Wave migration that should populate the Z-Wave Details page. You may see lots of devices w/out routes, that's normal after a migration.
Settings>Shutdown
Wait for red LED on hub
Pull power (best to do at the wall) for 2m
Plug in and let hub boot up
Based on the fact that you had to pair all your ZigBee devices and the Z-Wave table is empty I would guess that you did not do the proper cloud migration but instead just used a local backup. The only other reason the zwave table would normally be empty is if zwave has crashed.
Please check the Docs Bobby posted a link to, if you did not do the cloud migration as explained there, your zwave mesh was NOT migrated. You will need to do a soft reset as he said and re-migrate following the instructions.
If you already have done the proper cloud migration, then the solution from @danabw of a power down and restart should bring the zwave back online.
