Help creating and virtual button or switch and rule

Hi,
Please help me and guide me with following:

I was able to add my Broadlink 4 using the tutorial provided by TomW. Everything works fine.
However I can’t figure out how to create a virtual and rules to create button or switch to control my Dyson fan.
I don’t know if I can create one virtual button/switch to control everything (on/off, increase or decrease speeds, swivel, etc).
Thanks!

Create one virtual button device and give it as many buttons as you want in its device settings. I think the default is 5. I have a virtual button device to control my home theater that has 25 buttons. Then I created a dashboard that pushes each of those buttons to do things like change channel, volume, etc.

Thanks for sharing.
Here’s what I have so far.

This is my first time using virtual devices. I have a couple questions:

  1. Where I see the 5 defaults buttons. (I only see 1 on the virtual device screen)
  2. What am I supposed to enter under the “push” ?

Keep scrolling down on the device screen to preferences. If you were using a computer, you would have seen when opened w/out scrolling.

I misremembered. I actually have 30 buttons on my virtual button.

Then, this is my dashboardsetup:

In the Dashboard setup, add a Button tile and choose which button is pushed/held/released when that Button Tile is clicked:

Then in the Rules Manager app or Button Controller app, write a rule that does something with that particular button of the Button Device is pushed/held/released. I can't show you that because I use Node Red.

The final result:
