Help Converting my ¨Dumb¨¨doorbell / Chime in Smart

If you lift the cover off your doorbell it may have a voltage rating on the terminals.

Most legacy doorbells have a 120v to 18-24vac transformer that’s often attached right on the circuit breaker panel or an oct box relatively close by.

And as previously suggested, if you had a voltmeter to read the open voltage at the doorbell button or the voltage at the doorbell when someone is pushing the button, that would be ideal.

This may work ok .. $12.99

You're going to love the widow maker shower heads in Central and South America that use 120V or 220V line voltage.

It is overkill (30A) but should work. The contact side would be wired to COMM and NO.

I would seriously consider hiring an electrician if you aren't familiar with working with line voltage.

Nope, no ground. The water provides a path to ground. :joy:

I used one in Belize. I never figured out what the siphon tube with mini shower head was for. The two wires just came through the wall and were wire nutted to the shower head wires. Pretty much like the picture I posted. It was an experience.

I Made it...using a Led driver between the zooz and my 127v doorbell xD...
I used a led driver like this one
LED-DRV-1X10W-900_127

and the final scheme would be something like this

Even a fast or long pushing to the switch on my door, activate the Zooz zen 17 register an On and an Off Event
