I’m getting a warning on my iPhone from HE about my Geofencing but when I tap on it it just disappears. I can’t read the whole thing on the screen and when I tap on it the darn thing goes away. Not sure how to fix the problem because I don’t fully understand what the problem is. I have the HE iPhone app on my phone. I have set my hub location in the HE hub itself. I have deselected the “private address” on my iPhone WiFi setting for my network. What is going on or is it just a nuisance alert?
On the phone, go to Settings and scroll down to Hubitat, click and see what the Location permission is.
I have it set to always.
Hmmm don’t know then.
Thanks for trying though. Its probably my fault somewhere setting things up. That is a n00b for ya, lol.
I’m sure it’s something simple, but not something you do a lot.
Get in the HE app. At the very bottom you will see Dashboard, Geofence, Tools, and Settings. Click on Settings and under Presence, make sure Enable GeoFence is on. Then back out, click on Geofence and make sure your location is correct,
I am iOS so if you are Android, the procedure should be similar.
All that seems to be done, but every time I open the iPhone mobile app I get that alert. Perhaps it's time I hit up the HE support team themselves. I appreciate everything that y'all have done. I still think its a silly error on my part somewhere.
Thanks,
Norbert
I didn’t want to assume you did all that.
Let us know what the solution is. Chances are someone in the future might have the same issue and find this thread in their search.
I have tried everything and it still comes up. I have to next try and get with Hubitat support to see what the matter is.
Any updates on this?
Yes! I had to remove the iPhone from HE, removing it from all automations first. Then I had to remove the app from my phone. Then I had to put it back. Appears to have worked.
