Has anyone noticed that their Sonos Advanced Controller has broken?

Has anyone found that their Sonos integration suddenly got erratic this weekend?

Is it just my setup?

The built-in Sonos integration uses local APIs, so unless maybe you updated/changed your speaker firmware, there isn't much in the way of external forces (e.g., cloud outages) that should change things once you have it working. FWIW, I have not observed any problems -- but anything is likely something specific to your hub, network, or other aspect of your setup. Sharing more about what is specifically happening for you would likely get you more targeted advice if you want help here. Good luck!

Yes. mine has gone south also.... Not sure why.

Could it be the same expired ssl cert stuff that has also broken the wirelesstag integration.

Sonos drivers doesn't use SSL

I have 5 dedicated Ikea Symfonic speakers for TTS and all of them are working, I know that doesn't help much.

No issues here.

Volume isn't at 0 by chance is it?

My problem turned out to be exactly that, volume at 0. Working now, and nothing to do with the hub at all.

Working fine here.

Pandora -> Sonos was down the other day....took me forever to figure it out. Once that was restored...everything returned to normal.

Mine seemed to be fine too

Thanks to everyone!

I wanted to know if my partial Sonos Integration outage was local or global.

It’s local.

I have experienced some utility power instability that caused two NAS’s to go into UPS mode and it also appears to have corrupted my FIOS Router, that required reset to factory setting.

I pounded on the buttons until it suddenly returned to normal (there were a few “registering” command found in my logs).

I tried to re-create the Sonos Advanced virtual devices, but that seemed to remove them from a lot of the rules they were in.

I then restored the hub to an image before these problems occurred, to get back the proper rules. The Sonos devices are once again not fully operational (as an example they accept grouping commands, but not mute commands), but there are “re-register” commands in its que scheduled for the middle of the night. I hope that once it re-registered I will be back in working order. If not I will do some gentler banging on keys.

Are you using the hub’s built-in Sonos integration or this one created by a community developer?

Yes!

It has many controls, when it is working.

Right now logs spew such things as
dev:3372025-07-14 07:37:31.767 AM

warn

null: Name or service not known

I have some things qued for afternoon. I hope when they run I will get more control back:

For issues/questions related to a community developer’s work, your best bet is typically to post in the thread the dev created for their app (linked above).

The dev, or other users of that custom code, are more likely to see it and may be able to assist.
