Has anyone noticed it’s hard to find a Zigbee outdoor smart plug?

I know you asked for ZigBee, that or Z-wave was my starting point. My interest is for seasonal Holiday lighting. I opted for locally controlled WiFi that wouldn't interrupt the mesh when removed. Kasa has WiFi outdoor smart plugs, single and dual that are locally connected. For the last couple of years these have worked perfectly for me without hiccups. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B099KLNM24/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

I started with Minoston z-wave for seasonal outdoor lights but changed to Kasa WiFi local so I could remove them without affecting the mesh.

The only problem with solutions based on WiFi is that most WiFi isn’t mesh and therefore can’t cover properties like mine - which have zigbee going a good 1/2 block away (larger property in central florida). I’d have to deal with mesh wifi then, and that has proven to be a failure point for me. I mistakenly trusted several diff types of wifi mesh (orbit & eero) and found them all wanting in my area (including eero being really nosey and giving info to Amazon). Too much interference. Zigbee meshes much more cleanly on the frequencies in my neighborhood…and it heals quickly (overnight?) if you happen to remove outdoor smart plugs as long - as there’s at least one more route to the farthest device.

I didn't see a mention of the area you are trying to cover. In my case I'm not using a consumer WiFi mesh product. Ubiquiti with multiple WiFi access points and wired backhaul.

I'm recommending the Z-Wave LR version above...no mesh implications! Love it.

i use cheap zigbee plugs and put them in this outdoor box along with my power brick/wifi receiver for the govee yard lights.
