I have one of these, it’s no longer connected. Why? How about 857,362 messages every 10 seconds. Very accurate in terms of detection but the messages never stop.
Of course assuming it’s the same version, as we know Tuya makes hundreds of firmware versions, even with devices that have identical physical appearance.
And oh, it was a fairly good repeater as well.
I replaced it with this: Amazon.com: Zigbee Presence Sensor, Built-in Temperature, Humidity and Light Sensor | Zigbee Millimeter Wave Radar Sensor, Zigbee Hub Required, Supports Home Assistant Zigbee2mqtt : Electronics
Much more appropriate level of messages. And it’s not much bigger than the coin cell CR2450 which powers it( I detest those batteries, but got the sensor for free, couldn’t say no)

Yes, that is the exact listing I purchased. I’m using Klossev’s driver “Tuya Mwave Sensors” to which he just added this version

How’s the battery life so far?
Are you using it in a high traffic area?
Only been a week, and yes it next to my desk, gets activated like 35x/day. Battery is at 90% because I paired it like 10 times working out the driver, plus they supplied a no name battery.

Just bought one of these to play with. The timeout for going inactive seems to be about 80 seconds. I think all my other PIR are 30 seconds.
Are others seeing the same value and is there a way to change it so that all motion\presence have a single standard timeout?
Mine was also HOBEIAN Model ZG-204ZX. After playing around with this I found that this was the best driver where everything seemed to work correctly.
And all the States are reporting correctly however I have lost the battery level which was present in the “Tuya mmWave Sensors” driver package.
I take back what I said about the battery, it did eventually show up.
Gary, I’ve been struggling with mine going inactive at all with the new Tuya Mwave Sensors driver, the active time in the logs keeps increasing to 600+ secs even when no motion occurs. Rest of the attributes are solid.
Are you using the battery that came with it? I’m going to try and swap the one in mine at some point to see if that helps, I read these can be finicky.
Are you still having good luck with the old 4 in 1 driver how you set it?

@Rxich does a profile for your HOBEIAN ZG-204ZX just populate?
I checked the deviceProfileV4_mmWave.json and don’t see one for it, just ZK, ZM, and ZV.

It has apparently been working find but it’s not really in production doing something useful so it would be easy to overlook if the motion sensor was not operating. But the events suggest they are. I am using the battery that was included.
I bought it on Amazon via this link. It was $27 after coupon and before tax.

I got this 24G Lux TH(Z2M) one for $16.06 including taxes + shipped.
Maybe I should have gotten the Tuya Zigbee specific one because it’s also is supposed to work with Z2M and Tuya Zigbee like one image on the Amazon page says.
Snagged one of the Amazon ones in the meantime.

Support for the HOBEIAN ZG-204ZX has been added to the Tuya Multi Sensor 4 In 1 driver, version 3.5.7, using the existing TS0601_TZE284_4IN1 profile.
The updated driver can be installed manually from GitHub.
