Govee Table Lamp Question

I just got a govee table lamp 2. First matter device ever for me. Used Alexa to get it commissioned [or whatever you call it} and then used her to get into Hubitat. Everything went smooth and have not had much time to play with it yet. Can someone tell me if I need to keep this LAN control switch on in the govee app or did I need to have it on when I set things up?

You shouldn't for Matter, but you would for the Govee LAN Integration (or anything else that uses this API). That being said, it looks disabled for you, so I'm not sure why that would be (device offline?) or if it will let you change it in that state.

It was not offline, I just now turned it off. Having never used matter before should I be able to see all the control options in the Alexa app that I see in the govee app? Asking because they are not there.

No. Matter will support on,off, brightness/level,color temp and color. All of the other stuff is not avaliable as part of Matter. My Govee Matter driver can also use the LAN API connectivity to call scenes.

The basic LAN API does pretty much the same thing but had a undocumented method for sending scenes.

If you want scenes/effects, snapshots, or DIY effects you will need to use my Govee Integration. You would still use LAN API, but can also do scenes/effects, Diy Effects, and snapshots along with some other functions. It allows a hybrid approach so anything that can stay local will, but if you happen to want to use a cloud only function you can as well.
