When I ask for something to Goggle Home it always work perfectly.
When I ask somehting involving HE sometimes it works and sometimes it say it cannot find the HE hub, (but HE it is connected to the same internet connection), in fact both access the web on the same rule on the firewall.
Sometimes it even acomplish the command but after do it it notify it can't access to Hubitat (rare because it did what we command).
Seems like between google home and HE are communicating incorrectly....
Where is your HE getting it's IP address from, and is it static? If the HE address changes periodically the Google service needs to relearn it every time it changes.
As @djordan2112 said, and I discovered the hard way, is that HE works best with a static IP. My previous router was not capable of reserving an IP, so when I would tell Google to do something, she would reply with something similar to “sorry, I can’t reach the Hubitat”.
Thanks djordan2112 and tom.guelker but I think something else is happening here, let me explain:
Google Home Mini and HE getting IP from a pfsense, both are behind 2 NAT (please see image). That means both go to internet with the same IP as in almost everybody home.
Sometimes I ask google home to turn on a light and it work perfectly (even when it notify inmediately he cannot find HE, rare). Seconds later you ask the same and is not working for HE but for Google Home it works.
That's why I think the problem is between them...
One option is to move HE to the router instead of the pfsense but then it will be in another subnet where I can't see logs in real time. Apart from that this have no sense..is the same.
