My setup: Pretty much all interactions with my Hubitat home automation are through timed events (blinds during the afternoon, open at sunset etc) or are voice controlled. I had used Amazon Alexa in the past, but it doesn't work well with multiple homes since Amazon really wants your Amazon account to be your identity and one Amazon account doesn't handle multiple homes. Anyway, so I am now trying Google Home instead. I typically have a "virtual switch" device in Hubitat and then make a Rule Machine rule to do stuff when that switch is turned on - then I expose that switch to Google Home and you can trigger it by voice.
The problem: Google Home now adds those "virtual switches" as devices that are "Linked to you" in the Google Home app which seems to mean you can't use them in Google Home automations. Some of my older "virtual switches" seem to work fine in Google Home though and are not "Linked to you". I don't know why. I even tried add a physical switch to Google Home (Lutron lamp dimmer module exposed through Hubitat) and it even puts that switch in "Linked to you".
What is going on? When did this change happen and when will it be fixed? I have tried several workarounds with no luck. Right now Google Home is pretty useless to me.
Please help. Thanks.
I am running Hubitat 2.4.3.123 (C-7)
