Even with the hub that close the locks I have timings well above 1 sec. While other devices respond in .02 sec. even on the 2nd floor. It certainly looks like the encrypted signal is weak/slower, but that seems logical to some extent, more data to pass.

Secure data transactions are three times slower than normal transactions. Additionally secure communications can be less reliable. I would also just turn this around and ask, given the above why would you want this?

The speed issue is directly related to needing 3 transactions per command vs 1. So at 30 to 40 ms per packet it starts to add up.
