Yes, and I'm looking forward to trying these long range Z-wave devices. But another advantage of the YoLink sensors... they can send their signal through enclosed metal like placing their sensors inside a freezer or mailbox directly. I don't believe even the long range Zwave will be able to do that.
I use a Fibaro flood sensor(z-wave+) in a freezer made in the early 70's(thick ■■■ metal). Batteries going on 3 years and still at 100%
I use the Wifi Freezer Alarm and Refrigerator Temperature Monitor – Wireless Hygrometer Freezer Thermometer by Level Sense. I have a couple of them and they appear to meet your needs, i.e. a probe inside the freezer and the monitor on the outside that plugs into your outlet. Like you, the battery ones just don’t last long enough. Even if you lose power, after an hour you are notified of a power outage.
Any updated devices to look at in 2025?
I have a freezer in the garage that tends to not have the door shut securely. Besides ‘upright freezer 101’ training for my domestic peers, I’d like to smart home a solution.
Sensing the audible ‘someone left me open’ alarm is another possibility.
I put a couple, for reliability, |Manufacturer|Visonic
|Model|MCT-340 E| contact sensors in my freezer. Batteries last a long time and temp is pretty accurate.

I use the same ones, only failure is me not changing the batteries, every year or so.
So I have moved away form Hubitat and use Home Assistant now as there is soo much more support for other devices. IF Hubitat supports ESP32 I got an Apollo Temp sensor that is great

I have had good luck with some cheap ~$5ea aliexpress Tuya zigbee temp & humidity sensors. They have been in my 2 fridge/freezers since Nov '24. They use 2xaaa I put in cheap alkaline batteries and they still show 100%.
I verified their temp accuracy via an ice bath calibration.
There is a community driver for them.
The tuya contact sensors work good also.
