Per camel, these were $24.99 when you posted this good deal. Even better deal now at $20.99 for pack of 3 (may be limited related to Prime Day). I bought one 3-pack Sunday, installed yesterday, and tested. Just ordered another 3-pack as I am phasing out all my cloud-dependent smart plugs (most of which are Amazon plugs that I got for 99 cents each). Turned off my Internet connection and these Matter over wi-fi plugs still work just fine. Yay! And I like that even though I have local control with Hubitat for these plugs, I do also have cloud-based control should I ever need to control from away if the hub were down (yet Internet/LAN connectivity still working).

By the way, this was my first Matter experience, and it went pretty well. I did download the Tapo app for commissioning. There might have been an easier way, but it was OK.

One discrepancy I'll note from the Hubitat add device documentation. It says " * IMPORTANT: Note that this is not the QR code or numbers on the device (or box, etc.) itself as used for initial commissioning.". However, I overlooked that and used the 11-digit code on the device same as I did for commissioning and it had no trouble adding it. Perhaps Tapo just happens to use the same code as for commissioning as for setup.

Well darn. I just bought a mess* of these Tapo P125M to replace all of my other smart plugs that were cloud dependent. While they seem to be working fine, they do not have any sort of activity unless you are turning them off and on. Configure, Refresh, and Initialize don't generate activity. I cannot, therefore, include them in Device Activity Check. I suppose I could ping them (they do have fixed IP addresses) and alert if they don't respond.

@djgutheinz, would your driver have anything that would cause the plug to show activity?

*I'm from the South. A mess is a term for a significant quantity, normally associated with how many green beans you just finished stringing.

The devices poll refresh every 30 minutes (or as set in preferences). I am not sure if getting the device status over the lan will trigger an activity for Device Activity Check and I do not wish to learn this applications operational detail.

Did some testing and the devices value for last activity only changes when an event is triggered (i.e. switch). By design, I do not send an event unless there is a change.

HOWEVER, a new version is due next month and it is not a huge deal to have the switch event sent - which would cause an activity change.

Good deal as discussed above, but even better if you have Amazon Prime Visa card - an additional 25% off for effectively $5.50 per plug.
