Gonna replace my Caseta switch, what remotes do you like?

Most of my house is running GE toggle switches. In my bedroom I have a Lutron Caseta with the cute little Lutron remote taped to my wifes night stand. its the only Lutron gear that I have. I'd like to just replace it with something that natively compatible with Hubitat. I'd be find with replacing the wall switch with another GE rocker dimmer switch. I could use some ideas on replacing the Lutron remote. I'd prefer something that looks decent not some huge 20 button thing. Got suggestions?

Btw... I'm coming from wink and am use to a limited selection set. Being wide open to what hubitat supports is pretty cool.

Thanks!

Lutron is compatible. The integration app is amazing. Just need to add a Smart Bridge Pro

Your wife will love you more for not changing things on her

So here's the thing. Pico remotes had limited functionality under WInk - they could only control Caseta products. In Hubitat, they can can control anything (not just Caseta products). They're some of the best remotes out there, so some people (including me) add a Caseta Pro Bridge to take advantage of Pico remotes.

That being said, you could replace the Caseta dimmer with GE z-wave+ dimmer. And replace the Pico remote with any zigbee remote supported by Hubitat.

Maybe something like this:

An alternative that I like is the Aqara magic cube.

Taped? Come on now. You need to invest in one of those cool little Lutron Pico Pedestal stands!

 Correct. The pedestals are really nice! Have a nice weight to them too.

I prefer to keep to devices that don’t require a second hub... More stuff to fail

Except... Lutron equipment is probably the most reliable home automation hardware/software that I have ever used. It just works...every time...without fail.

+1 for Hubitat’s Lutron integration. After switching from smartthings to hubitat, I added a caseta pro bridge and disconnected the non-pro bridge that I had integrated with ST.

The local communication between hubitat and the Lutron pro bridge (which uses telnet) is super fast, and like @ogiewon said, Lutron devices are really unlikely to be a failure point in most home automation setups.

But for simple button presses I have found the newest version of the smartthings button device to work pretty well. It uses zigbee.

Another +1 for Lutron.

I have steadily been replacing light and fan switches with the Caseta switches and the WAF has skyrocketed. As was stated before, it just works and the hub never needs rebooting or fiddling with.

Another plus is that I can now easily add new wall switches where I need them using a pico wall kit.
