GoControl Glass break alarm. Unable to test them

Hi all,

I have 4 of these GoControl glass break sensors. They seldom report battery, some I've had to click the button for them to report battery.

I have been trying to test to see if they work. I am getting my phone right next to the mic and I am using this video Glass Break Sound - YouTube

I am unable to get them to trigger either in the device page or the dashboard. Am I doing something wrong?

I never could get them to trigger either. I now just use Alexa Guard which supposedly will pick up glass break.

You’re probably talking about the GoControl GB00Z?

I haven’t tested mine in quite a while, but here’s what worked for me.

Put some silverware in a glass cup, then put the glass down on a surface near the sensor, with enough force to make some noise, and then shake the silverware around a bit.

Can’t recall where I read about that, but it worked for me.

Yes, I'll give that a try

Used those sounds & I had to use a portable speaker, set to volume level 11. My wife was like "what the hell is going on"

I actually participated in a job with a real alarm company installer.
He had a device which made a glass breakage sound.
It was a portable, hand held device.
Probably available on ebay.
