Through the rabbit hole, I came across the Gledopto Zigbee 3.0 Pro Light bar for under $12 on Aliexpress, much less expensive than me trying to build my own. Before I order, I want to ask if this would truly be integratable with HE via my Hue hub. The description includes using the Hue hub. Still, triple checking if anyone has experience with this bar. Based on other, older posts, the Gledopto can be used, but there are some warnings about 1D vs 2D and don't know if any warnings apply to this.

I've been looking for a simple light indicator that can integrate into HE for outside my office with a simple stoplight color scheme - red for in a meeting / do not disturb, yellow for about to start a meeting, green for i'm free you can come in. Not been successful in that search for the last couple years.
At Five Below, I found an LED light bar with a remote and thought I may finally have the answer - a 5V USB light and an IR blaster. The light options frankly suck. That led me to thinking I can hack my own zigbee/zwave LED controller and strip into the housing. Which then led me to the Gledopto light bar.
Any confirmation or denial that the bar would work with HE/Hue would be very appreciated.
