I have two Gledopto controllers/strips. One of them works almost perfectly except sometimes it decides to go yellow instead of whatever color I sent. That's this one:
endpointId: 0B
application: 01
firmwareMT: 124F-1417-20013001
manufacturer: GLEDOPTO
model: GL-MC-001P
softwareBuild: 20051203
The other one pairs but doesn't respond. I get this error in the logs when sending commands: java.lang.ArithmeticException: Division by zero on line 920 (method parse)
endpointId: 0B
application: 01
manufacturer: GLEDOPTO
model: GL-MC-001
softwareBuild: 2.0.3
I'm using the Advanced Zigbee RGBW Bulb driver for both.
That driver doesn't work at all on either strip. Produces a different Java error. java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "0A00" on line 342 (method setColor)
I've just bought 2 of these controllers. I've not had chance to wire them up and I've took a leap of faith that they'll work well. Did you manage to sort this, if so, which drivers did you use in the end?
I returned the one that was not working at all. I still have the other one using the "Advanced Zigbee RGBW Bulb" driver and it's working OK now. I can't remember if I did anything to fix the intermittent color issue or not.
So you did nothing out of the ordinary to get this working? I wired one last night, I got it to pair, but after that, I couldn't even get it to switch on. did you use the pairing method of pressing reset 3 times?
I got the most success by not using the built-in drivers either the Advanced or regular zigbee drivers didn't work as expected. Instead, I connected my GLEDOPTO GL-C-008P devices first to the Phillips Hue hub and the Hue mobile app controlled the devices as expected. Then I used the Hue Bridge Integration built-in app for Hubitat to take control
So I bought a hue hub to attempt this. After a few pairing attempts, I managed to get things working. However, once the Gledopto controllers lost power, they went offline and wouldn't reconnect to the hub. I've tried multiple pairing attempts but still no joy. Very frustrating
Sorry I haven't been experiencing that kind of issue. I ended up returning all my GLEDOPTO controllers but not because they did not operate but because of a design issue for me. The termination techinique for GLEDOPTO uses that simple press to disengage the wire and slide the cable in. I found this connection to not be very secure for my tastes so I replaced them with BTF-Lighting Zigbee 3.0 CO5Z that use normal screw down terminals. for a much more secure connection that doesn't pull out so easily. And the other advantage is it's also about half the physical size with higher with higher current capacity ratings. I connected them via the Hue hub as well.
Just an FYI that I found it BTF-Lighting on AliExpress..... Just make sure to select the correct controller based on the lighting strip you are using from the five shown.
