Giexperience ZIGBEE Garden Soil Moisture & Temperature Meter

so - perhaps foolishly, but given some comments about recent version being fixed I thought it might be worth a go, I've also bought one of these three-prong Tuya sensors from Amazon, and before pairing, installed the correct driver - the unit pairs, but I get nothing identifiable as humidity or temperature in the device page. Do I need to need to set the model group or something in case it's not autodetecting correctly...?

What is the Zigbee model/manufacturer of the device that you received? GiEX may now be selling a device from a new manufacturer; in this case, automatic detection will not work until the new fingerprint is added to the driver code. You can try to manually set this device group :

if you click on the 'Ping' button, do you see the RTT (Round-Trip time) attribute updated or you get a 'timeout' error?

In case of a timeout, you may have a Zigbee 3.0 pairing issue... Try this workaround.

Update: TS0601 _TZE200_myd45weu is the already supported device.

THanks.

It says:

  • manufacturer: _TZE200_myd45weu
  • model: TS0601
    <<

so I've set it to TS0601_Soil manually, just in case...

But it does give a timeout on the rtt, so presumably this is the issue. I'll try the magic pairing dance later today, or perhaps try to resurrect my C7.

Is there any formal word from Hubitat devs about this 3.0 pairing problem? Its starting to get very annoying for things to not just work..... [rant over]

Bad form perhaps to reply to my own comment, but I've resurrected my old C7, installed the driver, and it paired first time, no drama.
Now to try doing the hub mesh thing, which is another new to me activity.
@kkossev - thank you very much for your work writing and maintaining these drivers, and the support you give for them - but this C8 pairing issue is just the pits - no-one should need to 10cc of mouse blood on hand to get a humidity sensor working :face_with_spiral_eyes: (hope you get the reference )
I'll have to try the C7 for my other recalcitrant devices which are sitting unused in a drawer.
