Have been having Zigbee stability issues after the last couple of updates, have done some troubleshooting and its a bit better now except some ikea blinds not connecting and some samsung devices falling off. Anyway just looking at the logs and i see a device with no title, just an ID did i somehow create a ghost?
Edit:
clicked on the info link and directs me to this..
I’m neither a zigbee nor z-wave expert, but I don’t think the term “ghost” can be applied here.
A z-wave ghost is a device that partially or incompletely paired, and exists in the z-wave radio database, but not the hub’s device database. This causes problems for the hub and its z-wave mesh.
I don’t believe a corresponding type of ghost can be created for zigbe devices, or at least no one discusses that here in this forum; unlike z-wave ghosts, which are a well known phenomenon discussed regularly.
To my non-expert eye, that hub log entry and subsequent screenshot look like they came from a device that was deleted from the hub and is no longer paired.
Can you elaborate on this? For example, did any of your troubleshooting steps include removing (and perhaps re-pairing) any zigbee devices?

question is it appears it is still checking in?
Are you able to determine (or at least narrow down) which device this is?

Found it, its a Xiaomi aqara motion in the garage that I deleted a while back and added a hue motion. but i left it powered up, it is checking in as E4A4.
so obviously the C8 did not delete it fully? So should I pair it again and see if it rejoins as the old device or as new device..
IIRC there’s at least one thread out there about Aqara devices that have been shown to do this (or something like it, perhaps). It’s a device problem, not a hub problem.
The hub has deleted it as much as it can be deleted. The device insists on communicating with the hub nonetheless. Or something like that.
This is one of the many ways that Aqara zigbee devices apparently refuse to follow the rules.

Thanks. I factory reset the xiaomi, (did not put hub in pairing mode) now it doesnt check in. I will keep an eye on it.
