Getting “Visitor has left home” notifications lately

Past few days. I have been getting this “Visitor has left home” notification every time I leave home. I have not changed anything or add any rules. How do I turn this notification off?

I enabled geofence past 18 months. But Hubitat’s geofencing never worked, that’s why I just switched to Life360 for all automation. Not sure why Hubitat’s geofencing all of the sudden knows my departure and arrival??

Has this happened to any of you?

My guess is that something is setup on the hub to send a notification to your device. To find out what is causing it, go to the device and on the bottom of the screen, there will be a “Used by” row which should list the apps that use the device.

One of those apps or rules is likely the one sending out that notification. The app/rule names are clickable and will bring up the screen for that app/rule when clicked.

Nope. As @Sebastien said, there must be some rule configured to send this notification, the hub doesn’t do that on its own.

Is there anyone else in your home that has access to the hub?

Only my wife has access for her phone’s geofence, but she is not technical at all, she knows nothing about HE or rules.

Very bizarre why a rule was created for no reason.

Ok. I found the culprit. My bad. I copied a WebCoRE piston during my vacation. And I totally forgot I enabled that piston. Now, I just got back and this piston started to work.

Sorry for my careless mistake.

And thanks for your help.

This was posted on the Facebook group also. Last night I directed them to check the events history on the phone device in Hubitat to find what was sending the notification. I believe that's what helped track it down

I love that newish feature in the events that shows where the events came from. Very helpful in finding "why did X happen to X device".
