Hi,
Apologies I am a newbie, and am just in the process of moving across to Hubitat from SmartThings.
When I did my house renovation I put in some 8 core for a GJD023 External PiR. I am using Blue Iris for CCTV and was looking to use an Arduino board connected to the Blue Iris machine to create a trigger, to then trigger Hubitat.
However I just thought before I do all that, it might be worth asking if anyone has done similar or if anyone has triggered it directly into Hubitat from an arduino board?
The input coming from the PiR will go from a normally open state to a closed state on detection and I was planning on using an arduino board to detect that change.
Alternatively has anyone got any experience of ZWave or Zigbee wired external moton sensor which work well with Hubitat and as I haven't got all the PiR's I need yet, I may just use the 8 core to power a smart sensor.
I am looking to use Hubitat when it receives the trigger to trigger external lights which I have connected to Zigbee relays, so that part should be relatively simple.
Thanks in advance for any advice, just looking for the simplest relaible way of gettign a trigger based on movement. I know I could use a Philips Hue motion sensor, but not keen on a battery PiR for this as there will be quite a few PiR's and don't fancy having to go round changing the batteries.
Cheers
Tom
