Geofence on Samsung S23+ is not working correctly

Basically what happens is that it looks like using coordinates based on IP of my internet provider instead of using phone’s GPS position.
(The GPS and exact location are enabled , the app has permissions to get location always, the phone connected both to mobile internet and home WiFi)
As result it point to location about 80km from my home. But thats lesser problem , as I can move the pin to my home.
The bigger problem is that it does not change if I leave home , it always stay where i put it , so geofencing become useless

Welcome and unfortunately, if you search the forums, the geofence has always been hit and miss for most. Some people use a combination of presence apps. Some people have no issues.

The other issue that I've seen over the years, for me at least, is it is phone specific. Some phones just work better than others. I also mean same make and model. My wife and I have always had the same phones. Our last phone, I think an S20, my wife's was an absolute rockstar with the geofence. I had hers set to the smallest and it overlapped another street by about 150ft. Her phone would trip without fail if she drove down the street. Mine was set considerably larger and it never tripped when I drove down the street and had to pull right up to the house before it hit. Now, we have S23's and mine is the rockstar and hers consistently misses. Although, on occasion, mine is a little late.

You should also check the lat and long that is on your hub. Sometimes that is an issue. Next time your home and show inside the geofence, move the pin so your outside and see if it triggers.

Sometimes logging out and back in can help, or if it's not working at all, delete the device from the system and add it back. Good luck.

Thanks,
I said earlier my hubitat location was ok, the problem i had is with my Samsung S23+ reporting its location based on IP to hubitat android app (or shell i say hubitat app was taking location by ip not by gps because my location, weather and sensibo app were using correct location on same phone)
Noticed I used past time ?
Thats because today starting from the morning it “magically” started to work correctly by itself.
So, yersterday, on the day of hubitat and app installation it missbehaved, next day it fixed itself.
