"Generic Z-Wave Switch" driver - no option to export to HomeKit as outlet?

New to Hubitat, coming over from Vera (finally). I had been using a Homebridge plugin to bring my Z-wave devices from Vera to HomeKit, but as soon as Hubitat announced its HomeKit integration I decided to make the jump.

I have probably 60-70 old Jasco/GE switches, dimmers and outlets in my house. I know... I should replace them with newer stuff but they work fine for my needs. Thanks to Lewis's antenna mod every single one of my devices is routed directly to the C-7.

Coming over from Vera I've realized a few things I now need to set up manually:

  1. I need to use the Z-Wave Poller app in order to get status from these old Z-Wave devices
  2. Z-Wave Poller does not offer the option of querying "Generic Z-Wave Outlet" devices
  3. Not only do I have ~15 Z-Wave Outlets (Jasco and Intermatic), I also have a ton of Jasco plug-in Appliance modules, for which Hubitat assigns the "Generic Z-Wave Outlet" driver.

So I pretty quickly realized I needed to change all of those outlets and appliance modules to use the "Generic Z-Wave Switch" driver. That allows me to select them in Z-Wave Poller. Problem solved, at least in terms of getting status on those devices.

However, I notice now in HE's HomeKit app, all of the devices using "Z-Wave Generic Switch" have no option for exporting to HomeKit as a different device type.

I would like for the actual outlet devices to appear in HomeKit as outlets. I know they would if I changed them back to use the Generic Z-Wave Outlet driver, but then I would lose the ability to use them with Z-Wave Poller.

Given that the HomeKit integration is in beta, I hope it can be considered to code in the option to expose devices that use the "Generic Z-Wave Switch" driver as outlets instead of switches. Similar to how it's already possible to export devices that use the "Generic Z-Wave Outlet" driver as switches.

I think I can change each one to show as an outlet from within HomeKit, but given that I have so many of them it would be easier to set it all up from the HE side. That way if I ever need to remove them from HomeKit and add them back I don't have to keep changing them back to outlets.

If this is currently possible and I'm just missing something, please let me know.
