After trying to troubleshoot why my z-wave Bali autoview shades were moving erratically, I have come to the conclusion there might be something wrong with the current default driver. (The shades were going up, then down, then they would make a grinding sound with slow movement.) I’m running the latest public firmware on the Hubitat hub.
After seeing the firmware version (11.2) on the shades may be the culprit, I reached out to zebra blinds for the nda strapped 11.3 file. I flashed that version to all my shades, rebooted them with a power cycle, but they still were behaving as described above. (I confirmed the version number had changed to 11.3 for all my shades) As a last ditch effort decided to try the user created “Graber Shade Driver” and that has seemed to resolve my issue. Just thought I would pass this along in case it hasn’t been looked into before now. Thanks!
Very odd - I use the Generic Shade Driver on my Zebra bought shades and everything has worked perfectly well for over a year. The device type is Springs Window Fashion Shades as shown below.
Yeah, I have had my shades working fine for a couple of years until just recently too. Looking at your screen shot, I don’t have the device type you have shown?
As an update, I am still having trouble with the shades if I try to control them from the Home app on my iPhone, but it works fine if I control it directly from the device control options in hubitat web interface.
Maybe there is an issue with the homebridge v2 app then?
I just tried controlling mine from the v2 home app and it worked fine. Wish I could help more but hopefully knowing that mine works will help you troubleshoot.
