I am getting this error for the Utilitech GB00Z-1

whos driver?
This was for the built in driver.
Which glass breakage do you guys support? I just got a couple of the gb00z-1 and the built in generic drive throws that error.
@cuboy29 I am curious if you got these devices working properly? I got two of them at lowes for 5 bucks right now, I thought I had seen there was working driver so pulled the trigger.
The batteries are not there of course though, so cannot currently pair them up to play with them.
I have one from Lowes for similar price and it's working with a Generic Glass Break Detector driver. Have this up since Sept 9 with many hub reboots and power outages.
They paired OK. I was not able to test them so don't know if they are working or not. They don't have wakeup interval so no clue if they are working or not either. Have two of them. I wouldn't trust them.
The only way I was able to test these was to set it next to my play at 100 volume then toss a glass break mp3 at it... have fun
Also are you still getting that error in in the logs?
No they never report in so I don't know I guess. I will see if I can push the button later to wake them up.
Pushing the button and I am not getting anything in the log.
I seen that some glass detector for test them you must clap loud near it, but not sure if all of them work like this.
here's how to test the sensor.
Rattling a couple of forks in a glass has worked for me when testing.
I guess bit of mine are defective. I get no response from them. Just tried the forks shaking in glass methid and neither response.
Thank you all for the creative suggestions. Nothing if not entertaining around here. Gonna grab some of these batteries from work today and see if I can get them to fire up.
on a side note - is there some unwritten rule saying that every battery powered iot device I buy must come with a different cell sized battery?
It was more like banging the glass on a surface and then rattling the forks. Try not to do it while anyone’s watching, it’s hard to not look silly while doing it.
Does the device wake up when you guys push the button? I am not getting anything more. I used to get the battery status. I think I need to remove and re-add mine again.
Do you guys have any issues with these just dropping off the network? Both of mine went cold. Pulled batteries on them but still won't send anything to the HUB.
I wonder if these are worthwhile anymore with Alexa Guard now available? I mean, obviously if you're not an Alexa users, but can't imagine Google isn't going to copy them soon. Sure, Alexa Guard cannot trigger anything other than an ADT or Ring alarm right now, but that will surely change soon.
