So on the GE devices that do not have an indicator function, do they have this bezel opening or not?
Toggles?! The 1980s called, they want their switches back.
LOL! My parents had paddles in the 60’s so I opted for something different.
Looks like the indicator Led is working for GE switches now. I just changed 5 of them.
My obstinate switch finally succumbed to my indicator setting and is now working as expected. Not sure what caused it. I did upgrade to 701 and then changed the settings several times, saving in between. I was only able to check about an hour later but noticed that the light now behaves as expected.
Sorry for the delay. Here’s the info. I’m using the Generic Z-Wave Dimmer driver.
- deviceType: 18756
- inClusters: 0x26,0x27,0x73,0x70,0x86,0x72,0x77
- deviceId: 12337
- manufacturer: 99
I have one GE paddle switch that won’t take an LED update. Whenever I try to save preferences for the switch, the log reports “Cannot invoke method toInteger() on null object on line null”. Otherwise the switch works properly (turns on and off, reports it’s state).
Hubitat shows the following data for the switch:
- deviceType: 18770
- inClusters: 0x5E,0x56,0x86,0x72,0x5A,0x85,0x59,0x73,0x25,0x27,0x70,0x2C,0x2B,0x7A
- deviceId: 12342
- manufacturer: 99
It’s using the Generic Z-Wave Switch driver.
Oddly enough, I have another GE switch with the same deviceType but with a different deviceId and only half the clusters.
Anyone have any thoughts on what might be wrong?
Edit: It seems I have two switches in the same situation. Both are GE Z-Wave switches of the same model (although I don’t recall exactly which model that is), and they report the same deviceType, deviceId, and clusters. For both switches, trying to save new preferences gives the “Cannot invoke method” error. Both, when newly included in the Hubitat mesh, were discovered as the generic type “Device”.
Edit #2: I was able to disable the LED on both switches using the physical update procedure (hit ‘on’ 3 times quickly, then ‘off’), so the LEDs are definitely configurable.
Edit #3: The specific device appears to be Z-Wave Product Catalog - In-Wall Smart Switch, which is the Z-Wave Plus version of GE’s paddle switch.
