GE JASCO Plugin outdoor smart switch ZW4203 - how to get it working

I had an older GE zwave plus smart switch. Kind of elongated shape. I got that setup pretty easily on hubitat using the generic zwave smart switch driver.

Ordered this new GE outdoor switch to add to my network. My experience with the GE switches has been really good so i guess i'm a bit brand loyal.

This was a pain to get going. It included easily enough, had to give it S2 credentials and after that it appeared ready. I manually turned it on and i saw device status change in the device screen for the device on the hubitat management interface.

But it was a bear to get it to be controlled from hubitat. i tried a bunch of different drivers, mostly the generic ones. Once i tried the "GE Enbrighten Z-Wave Smart Switch " driver it started to work. I know this is not the right driver for it (this doesn't really have the double tap nor the long press capabilities) but it turns on and off which is all i need.

Posting this here for other to benefit from. It took me a bit of time to get this one right.
It may be worthwhile for someone to hack up a driver for this using the other driver as a base and removing some of the functions that does not exist.

Anyway, hoping that this may help someone.

I just bought one. Could get it to even to pair. Using series 5 hub.

I don't understand how you paired it. I also just bought this plug and can't get it to discover

Never mind , it paired. I just had to slowly press the button once.

update: got it to work with the latest C-5 firmware. 2.2.4.158
