Okay, so I have a GE Enbrighten 76591 switch that I want to directly associate with a Quibino Relay to turn on a light. There’s a delay when using just the Simple Automation Rules. The switch is not directly connected to anything, but the relay is connected to a light.
I don’t need any other switch suggestions. I just need help with this, so please keep on topic with GE/Jasco Enbrighten switches.
I have made attempts at using the Basic Z-Wave Association Tool but can’t seem to work it out. Would appreciate help and complete instructions on direct association only.
Can you provide a link to the tool you are using to try? Did you consult the documentation for both devices to see what association groups you need to use for on/off or level (and what each supports)? That's the main thing that would make it not work, I'd say.
Instead of messing with associations I'd try changing enabling the alternate exclusion parameter (19, 1 for mine). It worked for me. Don't know if applicable to your model. Worth a shot. Here is a link to my discovery:
There's not a lot I’ve found for Enbrighten switches. That's why I’m asking here. I’m no programmer. I don't want to learn a new computer language. I’m asking for help from the community in hopes that someone has worked with Enbrighten switches.

GE unfortunately uses "Enbrighten" for a range of (sometimes slightly) different products, so the manual that came with yours would be the best source of information. While the model number is helpful, I can't find any information about association from a quick search. You might check the "Device Info" tab of the device detail page for a different model number (the Z-Wave one isn't always the same as the marketing one), which may help you find more with a search.
A lot of times, association group 2 is going to be on/off, which is probably what you want, but you'd need to know this for the specific devices to be sure (so I wouldn't just try this one blindly). This is the information you should be able to find in the manuals, and it should give you the information you need to put into whatever tool you're using for this.
You don't need to be or do either of these, just find this information in the device's Z-Wave documentation (pretty sure it's required for certification to have it).
