GE Enbrighten Outlet

Stub for the “GE Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus Smart Receptacle Outlet.

It doesn’t list hubitat as a supported device; I’ll add to this once I’ve tested it.

Have you tested this?

Yes; works flawlessly  Just never followed up, unfortunately.

There’s only 1 channel for one of the two outlets though.

Anyone know if there are any tricks to getting one of these to pair? I can't get one to pair that is about 15 feet from my hub (separated by one exterior wall). It is in a fiberglass junction box and on the opposite side of the exterior wall from a z-wave plus switch (Inovelli) that is paired with the HE hub. My Smartthings hub that sits right next to my HE hub has no problems pairing with it. I can exclude the device with either hub or a z-stick, but can't get it to pair with HE. I spent about an hour trying to get it to pair with no joy. I tried resetting the outlet multiple times, excluding it, etc. Right now, I have the outlet connected to Smartthings and the inovelli switch connected to HE and control the outlet with a double tap through Rule Machine and Hubconnect. This has been very flakey and sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't. Direct control of the switch with my ST hub works immediately and every time.

This last year I had a lot of problems pairing various z-wave devices including many GE outlets and switches...

After some updates to my hub and many conversations with support, it seems to work now... When I first started pairing devices they were immediate... This was during my transition from IRIS to Hubitat. As time went on and I have many devices on my system, the process takes longer and longer now..

The last device I added, finally connected and finalized about 20 seconds after the timer finished... How long are you waiting for it to complete? My suggestion is to let it set there a bit and see if it finalizes?

Interesting. I only have a few devices directly connected currently as I haven't migrated from ST. I did not wait beyond the timer though. Maybe I was a little too impatient. I just assumed that once the timer finished, it was not in pairing mode anymore, so I'd do another pair, or exclude, etc. I'll try again tonight and report back (hopefully with success).

Yeah, I added a GE outdoor plugin outlet around Christmas... It finalized about 15-20 seconds after the timer finished... I'd just stay on that screen for a bit to see what happens...

Reviving and old thread ... I just got one of these Amazon Link - Model 14288 to install in an under stairway closet to drive a plug in LED T5 light Amazon link. In-wall and romex wiring from outlet on opposing wall and gang box installation will be done this weekend as part of my EVER EXPANDING home automation chores! As a test I put the outlet in a single gang box and wired it to a three prong plug. I wanted to be sure that I didn't have any installation-time issues and to confirm pairing/operation. The outlet paired immediately (probably helped that I already had an Enbrighten switch paired that was 3 feet away from it). Used the Generic ZWave Outlet driver and works flawlessly (including control of the LED on the outlet). I see that there are GE Enbrightnen Zwave Switch and Dimmer drivers. Not sure if one will be or is on the roadmap for the Outlet. For now, the generic driver seems to work OK.

@mike.maxwell @bcopeland there seems to be some issue with the new GE 14282 outlet (https://smile.amazon.com/GE-Enbrighten-Controlled-SmartThings-14282/dp/B01M1NOZJU?sa-no-redirect=1)

When I added it to the hub it thought it was a "Generic Z-Wave Smart Switch" and even when i changed it to "generic Z-wave Outlet" it still presents me with the paddle function preference.
Also, the "Turn on Indicator" preference is backwards: when i select "when On" the indicator turns on when the outlet is off and vice versa.
