Just had to replace 2 garage door openers and thought I'd share my experience since there is a lack of clear direction as to what works and what doesn't with dry contact control.
With all the issues with MyQ (and the lack of basic dry contact control) I saw on here, I decided to go with Genie. I already had Zen17s with magnetic sensors on each door so I wanted to be sure I could still use them. Any Genie package that uses the 7055 head unit will work with a dry contact closure device as these are still using the Series II electronics. Anything using Series III will need their $50 adaptor.
Right now, Lowes has the best deal on these that include a keypad remote, 2 3 button remotes, a wired wall station and battery backup for $200. Menards has a similar system but with 2 2 button remotes, a wall station, and battery backup for $209 before the 11% rebate.
Oh and these are DC motors and belt driven. If you've never heard these operate, they are crazy quiet compared to chain driven units.
