Fun with Amazon Warehouse product - Sengled bulb, customer switcherooo?

Well, after getting a Sengled Element Color Plus box with a good looking bulb inside from AzWh today I was excited to pair the device and give it a test drive.

After reading a number of posts about driver selection I was prepared for a little two step to arrive at the right one. So, one-two, one-two-three, cha cha cha and repeat, and repeat, and repeat. Change, Configure, try, repeat. Oh, and did I mention re-pairing.

Everything but color was working, quite snappy I might add.

But then low and behold....in looking up the device E11-G13 I discovered this was a Sengled Element Classic, gee...how about that, exactly what the driver defaulted to when first paired.

With all confidence, I am ABSOLUTELY sure that nobody in this Community would have returned an E11-G13 in a E11-N1EAWA box. :+1:

Moral of the story....inspect Amazon Warehouse returns/resold items carefully before pulling your hair out.

You may have seen the topic where Hubitat got back a Hub... except what was in the box was a SmartThings Hub. Imagine how bad it would have been if it was a Vera.

OK, now that's outright egregiousness. At least what I was dealing with was just blatant theft.

The only thing I've sent back to Amazon was some Sengled bulbs that were CT bulbs in packaging for Color Bulbs. Had to be a factory mistake, not Amazons.
