Fun ( or frustrating ) week end ahead

With no readily available zwave devices in my part of the world I can’t help but be a little excited when I get my Amazon package from the US
Three Sensibo units to start automating my mini splits.
A Switchbot and 2 bots to turn on how water tanks ( my landlord won’t let me install smart switches ….how 2010 of her. Hahaha.
And 5 zooz devices to strengthen my zwave mesh.
1st extension cord / range extender - repeater already done.
Yay
Cheers Mac

I couldnt get switchbot to work reliably. No good way to securely attach to dell server to get it to work. Gave up

Where do you live? Is the z-wave frequency correct for you location?

OP has mentioned moving to SE Asia in previous threads, so the Zooz devices from the US are probably not using the frequency approved where he currently resides.

Most important IMO would be verifying that the specs meet the requirements of the electrical system where the devices are to be installed.

But radio devices using non-approved frequencies could theoretically interfere with emergency services too.

Dang - i didn't realize that.
Luckily...i won't be here forever so all of these devices i bought i can eventually use back in the US.
I do have a fair amount of zigbee devices - that i brought with me and supplemented with more since I've been here, i'll be able to automate locally - just not as many options.

Will have to re configure the HUB to local settings for zwave and see what other devices i can source locally.

I knew I was taking a risk with switchbot and integrating it to HE. Worst case. Will use the switchbot app. As long as I have hot water every morning is worth a separate platform.
But will give it a try. The new switchbot is matter enabled. Not sure if that makes a difference. But will sort something this week end.
