Freezer temperature monitor that measures down to -100C

Does anyone know if there is a good temperature monitor that will measure temperature down to -100 degrees celcius? We need this for a freezer. Thanks.

I think you would a device that does thermocouple. I've been on the hunt for one for my wood stove, the other end of the temperature scale. The only one I've found is from wirelesstag . They say their ype k thermocouple setup goes from 0-400C. But, I don't know if that's just a factor of the type of Type K thermocouple. It requires another hub. I think there's an integration. I can't get over buying another hub. @kahn-hubitat has experience with it, and I think ditched it because it didn't stay connected outside at range.

Is this for a home or lab/industrial situation?

If it is the latter, our large -80C freezers at work have external dry contact terminals that can be hooked up to one or more dry-contact sensors. I have them hooked up to alarm sensors and to a notification system.

It is for a lab. It has to be able to measure -100C.

I suggest you use a platinum RTD. They are pretty linear at negative temperatures and will go down to -200 °C

Do you have an example of one to use?

You can use a breakout board (found on ebay) using the MAX31865 IC to measure the platinum RTD. You would have to use an Arduino to interface your RTD. If you are looking for off the shelf then I can make other suggestion that may not be literally off the shelf but more "user friendly"

The sensor is likely a little more expensive. Something like this sensor from Omega would work.

Keep in mind, not all platinum sensors can go to -100 °C due to their construction.
