I just moved so my budget is limited. I know the proper way is to buy rain, wind sensors etc but for now is there a semi accurate way without equipment? Ie it’s going to be high winds today so reel in awning
Thank you
DarkSkies is excellent, but AFAIK not available anymore (and will be shut down soon). OpenWeather is pretty good too.
I use the following two
Global
USA only alerts
There is also the built in OpenWeatherMap device
I installed the open weather driver. I don’t see instructions on how to use it
All of these are more or less the same.. sign up at the weather's site and get an API Token or Key... which you then paste into the device Info page.
Thx
I don’t see that page?
Ahhh...
You create a Virtual Device
Then name it something brilliant... like "OpenWeather"
and pick the OpenWeather Driver from the list.
After clicking Save Device, the Info page shows and you can paste your Key.
Thanks. I never done this before
yea, it's one of the flaws of "just guessing" your experience based only on the date you joined the community. I assumed a 2019 join meant you'd done this before. It's an assumption and we know how that goes
Thanks got it working
