Flic Twist: The Wireless Dial for your Smart Home

This is an interesting device, although it appears to operate only on Bluetooth & WiFi

Flic Twist

I believe it works with the Flic hub, which has an API that you can utilize to talk with Hubitat. There are a handful of vague rumors about using this to make a full integration, but I haven't seen anything concrete there. I'm able to run a few automations locally through HE to tie into some Flic-based operations, but it's some crude bits I put together myself, hardly a real integration. But that is theoretically possible from what I've seen.

I have managed to produce an HE app that talks to custom code in the Flic Studio.

I have the full range of rotation clicks working, allowing selection of dimmer levels in 1% increments, locally with almost zero latency.

Also works for changing colour, colour temp, colour hue, blind positions etc… with selectable options in the app.

I have the button clicks synced up nicely as well, and the 11 mode selectors working if desired, so we can use a single twist to control up to 12 dimmers / modes and 24 button presses.

The code needs some refinement to allow users to easily pick actions for various device types, or create virtual devices as desired… but the hard work is done.

I also need to allow for more than one flic twist per app instance, and perhaps wire in the regular flic buttons into the same app to make it a one stop shop.

Will post a release in the next few weeks.
