After using the Firmware Update tool for a Zooz switch do I need to exclude and re-include the device for the new Firmware to appear in the Hub. I still see the older version listed after full completion. Also if I need to do that will I lose all my automation used with that device?
Yes, because it will pair with a new device-id if you exclude and re-include it. I would recommend editing all your automations replacing that Zooz switch with a placeholder virtual switch.
After the firmware update/exclude/include, you can reverse the process. In general, I update device firmware only if it creates a new functionality that is essential for my use.
