Firmware update Bricked My Hubitat Device - Help

Hi Hope you can assist,

I just updated my device firmware and upon reboot it never came back

The light goes from blue to green
However the ip is not pingable…
I also checked my network to see if a new ip was assigned or something - not the case
I tried the ip :8081 in efforts to get to the diag screen - not working
I tried using portal.hubitat and tried to find the hub by its Mac address - it found it with the same ip as I configured it with originally (static) but it wouldn’t connect to it…
I tried using the iPhone app to try and find it… no luck
I plugged it into my computer and assigned my pc the same ip range… still could not ping it…
I rebooted the thing like 10 times (by unplugging it).. no go..
I dont think there is anything I haven’t tried…

Please advise?

If the LED is green, then it means the platform has loaded. So try a few things:

  1. A network reset as described in the Network Setup documentation.
  2. A new ethernet cable.
  3. A different port on the network switch the hub is connected to.

This is never good with a green light. Once you do get back up, restore from the previous days database to ensure there is no corruption. As @aaiyar stated above, press the reset button on the bottom of your hub with a toothpick or paper clip for 7 seconds. It is the only round hole out of all the square ones. (This will only reset your network settings). Once it comes backup go to find.hubitat.com and you should see it.

You could also try connecting to the hub with: http://hubitat.local/ or http://hubitat.local:8081/
