Firmware update 2.3.6.135

unable to log in to C-7 following update of firmware to 2.3.6.135

We’re going to need some more information to help solve your issue.

For starters, what do you mean by unable to login?

Please be more specific and describe the steps you’re taking and the error (or otherwise unexpected behavior) that results.

Also, is the hub’s LED on? Steady green light?

device connects to network and remains active (that is, it continues doing what it's supposed to be doing)
however, I am unable to get past the sign-in screen when attempting to log in -- a behavior that stared immediately after firmware update

if I enter knowingly-incorrect credentials, sign-in page responds by indicating that entered info is incorrect
if I enter the correct credentials, no response indicating incorrect credentials but also doesn't progress beyond the sign-in page

Try going to diagnostic tool, http://HUB.IP:8081
You need the Ethernet MAC from the hub as shown on the sticker on the bottom.
From there you can do a shut down, then pull power for 30 and restart.

If that does not work I would suggest taking a backup from the Diagnostic tool and downloading it for safe keeping. Then do a soft reset and restore the most recent backup (can use backup on the hub).

First approach using shutdown from diagnostic tool did not work

Have now done a soft reset and restored backup
C-7 is now working again (in that, it continues to do its programmed tasks)
BUT, I remain unable to get beyond the sign-in page (with hub security enabled)

I have deleted my user id and created a new one, thinking that perhaps the admin user ID got corrupted -- this did not fix the problem

My credentials worked for purposes of disabling security, so am now running with Hub security disabled -- and can get in no problem, even though the underlying problem persists (that being, inability to get beyond the sign-in page)

In the event it proves relevant, I am running two C-7 hubs on the same local area network, each serving a different building, with the hubs operating in mesh mode

Both hubs were updated yesterday to firmware 2.3.6.135
One hub operates as it should, the other fails to progress beyond sign-in page

Today, both hubs were updated to firmware 2.3.6.136
One hub continues to operate as it should, the other continues to stop at the sign-in page

Probably not going to fix it, but have you tried clearing your browser cache?

A quick CTRL-F5 has fixed many issues like that in the past (even if it doesn't fix yours).
