Fibaro RGBW beta driver - can the on/off state be fixed?

It would be great if the Fibaro RGBW driver so the on / off state works.
I'm guessing this driver is a PIA (solely by the lack of attention), but this change would really be appreciated.

I'll watch this thread to see if there are many users with the same request.

Thanks
John

There's at one other request for this.
Specifically what isn't being updated (rgb parent, or dimmer child) based on what command being sent to it?

Hi Mike,
Thanks for responding. The specific issue is the "current state" does not update. Mine is stuck at "off" I recall others being stuck at "on" so perhaps it is the luck of the draw on installation.

I have 3 and one is stuck on ON one stuck on OFF and the other is sporadic  .

Right so its the parent device, you tell it to turn on, and the device turns on, but the driver state doesnt change to on?, is this it?, same for off presumably?

Theres a new driver for this being released in 2.1.3.
The old beta driver remains for the time being, though new pairings will select the new driver.

If manually changing to the new driver the configure method must be run once after the driver change.

Hello,

i am facing same problem. First my hubitat recognised my Fibaro RGBW-442 as ZOO RGB controller, i changed it in my devices to correct one. I am facing the problem, where under the Simple lightning lights dont turn on. I always have to turn them on from dashboard(i choose bulb lightning option in dasboard, which keeps freezing, so i have to go back to dashboard and click on it again).
Can somebody help me please?

I use mine in a Scene and have had no issues for many months.

So you can turn on/off your RGb lights on specific time? Because i cant. Was trying to put all the light into scene and put it into Rule machine, it doesnt work.

I believe you need to create a virtual device named "Scene Activator" and use it to "activate" on the Scene.

In devices see "Add Virtual Device" then for the "type" go down until you see "Scene Activator"

I can add this yes, but how do i connect that in rule machine, cause i cant see that Scene activator anywhere than under "Devices"?

Ohh i think i need to go now under just scene and Groups and pick this virtual "Scene activator" under "Select button to push upon scene activator". Am i correct on this?

I believe so.... it's been a while.

So i am not gonna lie, i am struggling on this one. In logs i see that lights turn on and off when i set it in "Simple lighting", but they dont turn on. Is it possible for you to try if it works for you?

I am using RM4.

If you give me a snapshot of your Simple Lighting screen I'll see if I can get to where you are.

Under Which lights do you want to ccontrol i have my Scene activator.

Its been a while but I think the key is the Scene name and the Scene Actuator name must be the same.

My Scene:

My Simple Lighting Rule: (works fine)

I think i will need help from the guy created a driver for Fibaro RGBW 441. This is a picture where i add my RGBW 442 and it recognise it as ZOOZ. Even thoe i later change it to 441 driver it still has the two permanent ZOOZ devices under which cant be changed. I cant even change color now, whatever i press it stays White. On/Off working properly. In my Dashboard i created color bulb for my RGBW 442 which showing the correct color i choose but thats all. Am i doing something wrong or this device just isnt added to Hubitat yet?

You should direct your issue to @mike.maxwell he is in charge of Hubitat drivers.
