Feature request : refresh zone controller

yesterday I noticed my zone controller in my shop is stuck on active, and I know why, it's because one of the 4 sensors I use battery has died. I am sick and could not go down there to clear it so I figured I would just remove that sensor for now and when I am able to fix it, I will add it back.

After removing the dead sensor, however, the zone is still stuck on active. All three sensors remaining in the zone are inactive but it will not clear. Seems like a refresh option on the sensor would be appropriate, or perhaps there is something I am missing.

Feels like the app should initiate that when a change is made to the zone setup...

I hope you feel better soon!

You aren’t missing anything as there no way to invoke a reevaluation of the motions states. Tagging @mike.maxwell as he created this a long time ago on SmartThings and I assume he still maintains it on HE.

Oh yeah, that too

Thanks guys, I actually do feel better today. Not sure if it was a 48 hour bug or food poisoning. Still not 100% but better than I have felt the last two days.

That is what I thought, but I have opened the app a couple times and hit done and it won't clear.

Glad to hear you are at least on the mend....

Hi @terminal3
Are you talking about the Zone Motion Controller App?
If so, you can set the Zone device to active/inactive manually.

EDIT: Actually you cannot. I had modified my mZone devices to use the Virtual Motion Sensor device type to give me the control I mentioned above.

Thanks for the idea, I added a virtual sensor to the group and then set it active and then inactive and that cleared it.

Still,,, a solution of sorts.. as far as a feature request, which effectively this was, it feels like it still needs a solution in the platform Zone Controller App, whilst there is a workaround.
