Feature request: Add support for Leviton Decora Smart No Neutral smart switch line

This would include the DN6HD dimmer, DN15S switch and the MLWSB-2RW bridge.

I think these devices are very similar to the Lutron switches in that the switches use a proprietary RF protocol to communicate with the bridge which in turn uses WiFi to connect to the local LAN. I believe they are cloud based from there. The switches and dimmers do not require a neutral which is ideal for those of us who have homes built before the 80's where it was uncommon to include neutral wires in the switch boxes.

Hubitat has a bridge integrator for the Lutron line of products. I envision a similar setup for Leviton.
Leviton is currently supported by Alexa and Smartthings.

IIRC Lutron is integrated using a telnet interface, i.e. a locally available connection. The MLWSB-2RW only connects with the Leviton cloud so I wouldn’t expect this to happen unless Leviton changes direction and provides a local option.

Lutron also makes caseta dimmers and switches that don’t require a neutral wire.

There are some z-wave options too, I believe.

@TomP Likely integration would come from the community. Unless the switches could be controlled 100% locally (even by wifi) then I don't think Hubitat as a company would be interested in supporting them. 100% local automation is Hubitat's creed. So a could based integration like you're looking for would have to come from the community provided the API is available. Now if you're looking to switch to no neutral stuff. Lutron, Zooz, Inovelli all make no neutral switches and dimmers.

Thank You all for your responses. I have a better understanding of the differences between the Leviton and Lutron products.

Leviton makes zigbee stuff that doesn't require their hub. That said, Lutron is the best. They are tanks and you can use Picos!!!! I have yet to have one of their switches fail and I've had some of my pico's 12 years and still haven't changed the batteries.

That's true...I believe they also have a z-wave line but all those products require a neutral wire...my dilemma. Lutron and Inovelli have "no neutral required" dimmers but their non-dimmer switches do require neutral. Leviton gets around that requirement somehow, but they do require a ground wire connection. In the U.S. the ground and neutral are separate wires but are typically bonded together at the breaker box where service enters into the home. I suspect Leviton is doing some kind of magic with the ground wire requirement, I don't know...just a guess.

I came from the now defunct Insteon world and have had to replace some of those failed devices. What I have now are the Leviton devices on a Smartthings hub and everything else on Hubitat. My goal is to eventually get everything onto one hub for sake of simplicity. Because my home is BN (Before Neutral), I have to work around those limitations. There are new products being introduced regularly and since there's a good bit of population who are probably in my same situation, I'm confident that some creative enterprise will address that corner of the market. Of course I could pay tens of thousands to have the house brought up to current code and it would be a done deal except for the bankruptcy.

Lutron has no-neutral switches.
