Is there any way to factory reset a dimmer light switch GE 12724. If so, how? I attempted a number of factory resets on the switch itself that I found online, but nothing seems to work. Based on the manual that I was able to dig up online, it sounds like it may only be possible via the controller/hub, which I cannot do, since Wink is down again for several days (the reason I am trying to move to Hubitat). Any suggestions on how I can drop Wink and pair my switches to Hubitat?
Z-Wave devices can be excluded by any controller and not just the one they are paired to. So Hubitat can exclude your GE switches/dimmers.
When I transitioned from Wink, I used a handheld battery-powered controller, which I walked over to each device and excluded it. And then included devices into Hubitat beginning with the line-powered devices closed to the hub, and finishing with all the battery-powered sensors.

I am pretty sure older GE switches and dimmers do NOT have a Factory Reset procedure. The only way to reset it is to perform a Z-Wave exclusion on it. And, from my experience, this needs to be done in relatively close proximity to the Hub that is transmitting the Z-wave exclusion signal. Once the hub is in General Exclusion mode, simply press the ON side of the dimmer switch. In the Hubitat Live Logs, you should see whether or not the device was successfully “Excluded”. Once done, the dimmer should be able to be “Included” by a new hub.

Yes - thank you for reminding me why I walked around with a handheld controller to exclude my Wink-paired devices. I also had many GE switches/dimmers when I moved to Hubitat.

I still do. Hard to find a switch with integrated motion sensor elsewhere last I looked....
