I don’t really understand what this EZ dashboard is good for but after a month of trying it I can now say that its not good for me… 
Too many things are not working on it. I’m grateful for the old dashboard as it really suits me a lot better. Maybe if you only have 3 or 4 devices and they are lights or switches then the EZ dashboard might be ok. Maybe that was what it was intended for, I don’t know.
I have no idea BUT, I think you nailed it… it’s there to make it easy for the people with their first, new, Hubitat. Months later they learn there’s an alternative, try it and find it harder. Then months later figure out that harder is sometimes worth it. 
What does this mean? I haven’t had an issues with anything i have used on it and have had it running since it was released. In many cases the things i have found that fail are drivers that are custom and not quite fallowing standard capabilities right.
Same here. In fact, for my needs the EZ Dashboard was much easier to setup and works with all of my devices. Zero issue since inception.
I’m glad that its working well for you but that was not the case for me. My Bond bridges don’t work correctly as well as my hurricane shutters. Devices that have both temp, humidity and battery were really bad. I knew it must be working ok for some people or they would have removed it by now. Just doesn’t work well for me but I love all the colors and sizes that I have on the legacy dashboard.
The EZ Dashboard is exactly what the name implies; they're easy to make if you just want something simple.
Unfortunately, that's not what I want or need and the EZ Dashboards are useless to me. For example, my home theater legacy dashboard has a virtual button device with 25 buttons. Try setting that up on an EZ Dashboard.
My biggest disappointment in Hubitat is the lack of development of the legacy dashboard since EZ Dashboard came out. Fortunately AI has helped me with CSS on my dashboards to make them meet my needs mostly.
Again what does that mean?
Are you using the built in Bond bridge driver. How is it failing to perform. I don’t know of any Hurican shutters that are supported by Hubitat. Are they using a custom driver? Something I was fighting with for a while with Govee Devices was they would fail to show up properly on the EZ Dashboard if certain attributes were populated. This could happen after a reboot or certain activity.
Can you provide a screen shot of the problem on the dashboard so that it can be captured for Hubitat to address. If they are not told of a problem they can’t fix it.
The difference is that EZ Dashboards have continued to improve over time. They are designed to be very easy to use and not require the user to be a developer to make work well. Thay also have more stringent requirements for how the devices that are added are expected to work. For instance a Light device needs to have certain standard capabilities and attributes populated for them to display properly. Otherwise the device will display a error instead. That applies to allot of things.
The legacy dashboards are allot more flexiable , but they also require allot more setup and tweaking possibly. To get the most out of them you really need to dig into custom CSS files and some web development concepts. I wouldn’t say either one is better then the other, they are just aimed at different folks.
And yet, my hurricane shutters work just fine on the legacy dashboard. So do my Bond bridges. I didn’t take the time to report any of my issues with the EZ dashboard because I had determined that it was not for me. To proceed further was a waste of time. I have no idea if my issues could have been resolved in time with enough work but I lost interest quickly. On the legacy dashboard, my open doors and unlocked locks show up as red. The closed doors and the locked locks show up as green. I like that sort of thing. You can keep your EZ dashboard, I’m glad it works for you. There’s a little something for everyone.
So how would the developers know that things weren't working? Telepathy? Crystal Ball?
So, what was the point of this thread? You are welcome to have a different preference, but you also made a point thay you felt it was broke. That generally isn't the case so ofcourse others are going to ask questions.
Or is the lesson simply this thread is a waist of all of our time.
Well, I suppose that if people who use the EZ dashboard and like it have an issue with it then they would report it. I don’t like it and don’t use it so I have no interest in reporting any issue with it. I have no interest in making it work with my system or making my system work with it.
The very first line of my post tells you what it is about. It says “I don’t really understand what this EZ dashboard is good for”. It should have been a simple discussion about what it’s good for. 
If you felt it was a WAIST of your time then why bother posting.
