Hi everyone new to the forum and have an HE arriving tomorrow. I have my eye on a Leviton smart plug dimmer and couldn’t find any information on if this was a good idea/safe. I have 2 single bulb lamps and provided the bulbs are dimmable, can I plug them both into an extension cord to dim simultaneously? Or should they be synced on their own dimmer plugs? Not trying to have a pile of ashes where my smart home used to be!
As long as you dont exceed the power limit of the dimmer, you can parallel lamps no problem.
They are 100w a19 dimmable LEDs and the plug is rated for 300w, I should be good to go then. Thank you!
That would be 100W equivalent, they probably only pull 10W max each.
