I got it paired fine, but what type of switch do i set it up as? In smartthings I had it set up as a z wave momentary, but I don't see that option here. Is there another method ?
It depends on how you want to use it. If you are using it for a garage door, then yes, you want a momentary device. Select Generic Z-Wave Relay. It has an option called Automatic Shutoff that you can set for 1 second or 2 seconds. That is the same as what you were using before with the Z-Wave momentary switch.
I have a few of these, and I like them. They seem to work reliably.
Ah ok. I saw that option, but the meaning didn't click at the time. Is there some kind of integration to make it more functional? In the other hub there was a smart app that combined it together with the door contact. That way you were telling it to close or open instead of just toggling the relay. That also allowed it to be controlled by alexa
There is no reason you couldn't port that smart app over...
