I recently connected my Eve Weather device to my hub using Matter. The battery is brand new, and reads 100 percent on my iPhone. And the temperature using my yolink outside temperature monitor is 3.9 degrees. Here is what Eve Weather is reporting"

And could someone explain what the new "Raw name" setting is all about?
Thanks
Konchog
Raw name displays the attribute name as it exists in the driver’s code, if not selected the UI will attempt to normalize the value by adding capital letters and spacing. Doesn’t effect the values, or the name used behind the scenes, just what is displayed as a description.
Which driver are you using? There was the same issue with the Aqara temp sensor using the generic matter temp sensor driver where when the temp dropped below 32F there was some type of error occurred. They fixed it a couple updates ago. If you are using a different driver it could have the same issue
I am not sure how to see which driver is loaded. Here are what i believe are the relevant fields from the Device Info tab:
Type
Eve Weather
Room
Back Patio
Thank to the bear for the explanation of "Raw Name." It is a little more obvious to me now that I know that to look for. Using tts to read words sometimes glosses over things like this.
And yes, it is cold here.
What is listed on the Type field? Eve Weather? If you connected via matter try one of the generic matter driver and see if that makes a difference in the temp readings.
There is no generic matter weather sensor or generic matter temperature sensor. Here is my device info tab.

When you click on device type you don't have either of those in the driver list? They are native to Hubitat (built in drivers) so they should be there. If it won't let you click on the type field, click the Save button like you made device settings changes (even though you didn't) and it will let you click on the field and open up all the available drivers.
However, I have to say I don't think any of those drivers will give you a battery reading inside Hubitat if that is important to you.
Also, if it won't let you post screenshots, join the owners group and it will be then slow you to post screenshots. It is a spam bot blocker safety net.
As for screenshots, I am blind and my tts engine does not translate screenshots. So I avoid using them. At this point, I would consider retrieving my device and letting it warm up in the house and then see what happens, but I am not sure I could find the right tree shoveling through twelve inches of snow where it is hanging.
I am also struggling a bit with the new UI that had been completely reworked in a recent upgrade. I installed the latest upgrade to 148 this morning, and the problem is still there. Perhaps a bug report needs to be generated?

No don't go out and fight through 12 inches of snow. I believe from past experience with my Aqara that it is a translation error when the temperature drops so low. I am sorry you got so much snow that is definitely not my idea of a good time.
I am tagging @mike.maxwell to see if he can help. He is the gentleman that helped with the Aqara issues.
Mike this looks to have the same issues we had with the Aqara temp going crazy when it dropped to 32. Can you please take a look at this?
I used generic component temperature and got the same result. A temperature over 1000 dgrees. This is an Eve Systems weather station, and it is designed for colder temperatures. The yolink device currently reads 5.1 degrees. As for the snow, this is part of life around here. I live two miles south of Lake Ontario near Rochester.
I have set the device type back to "Eve Weather." The new UI is somewhat counter intuitive, or perhaps that is the TTS Engine that makes it so, but once I figured it out, I can see the sense of the new way things work.
Try your best to stay warm and hope you get a break from the snow for a few days. Hopefully Mike can help when he sees the tag.
This will be fixed in release 2.4.1
