Eufy doorbell to Hubitat via Alexa -cant get to work

C7 - 2.3.9.184

This used to work....
I have a virtual switch in Hubitat
Setup Eufy Security App - link to Alexa
In Alexa create a routine that when doorbell detects motion, Alexa speaks and also turns on the virtual switch.
I create motion and I see a notification on my phone, but no alexa speak or virtual switch turned on....
It appears the connection between Eufy and Alexa is broke...
I've deleted the Eufy app twice and reset up
I've deleted the Eufy skill in Alexa and relinked
Made sure notifications were on in the Eufy app...
I'm totally stuck...
Does anyone have a similar setup and is it still working?
Thx

I use the same method. Had not really noticed it not working, but I just checked and the last time my doorbell motion switch turned on was the 15th. Should have been some other instances of motion switch turning on.

I have a 7 other Eufy cameras and those are working, they use the same method . I will have to play with this some tomorrow.

I have Eufy cameras too. What app do you use to link to hubitat?
Any help is most appreciated

Basically as described in @tim.ocallag's post. I have Virtual motion sensors with the switch function that are linked to the Alexa app. I have Alexa routines that turn on the Virtual switch motion sensors when motion is detected on the camera.

i have a support call w Eufy.... hope they can resolve

I doubt Eufy will be much help, probably a Alexa issue. All my cameras are sending notifications and recording, the Alexa to Hubitat part, however, is hit or miss. Works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.

its not just the alexa to hubitat....i have when motion to have alexa speak "motion at door" and that does not work either

Got a ridiculous answer back from Eufy.
although the doorbell works flawlessly, captures video on motion or doorbell and sends notifications from eufy app ...here is what they said .....I explained its not a hardware issue but a application/software issue. My voltage was 11.3vac and they said it had to be 16vac, even though it never mentions that in the installation instructions

I got a 24vac power and confirmed it still doesn't work...I then asked them if they have tested this and got the following

"Thank you for your message. I understand your concern regarding the Alexa routine and the motion detection feature. I want to confirm that we have tested the eufy to Alexa functionality, and it does indeed work as expected when connected properly.

To clarify, we have verified that Alexa routines can be triggered by motion detected by the eufy camera, allowing Alexa to speak based on the motion events."

so now I'm at a loss @terminal3 says it doesn't work, I can't get it to work but Eufy says that they have tested it and it works fine : (

I have 6 eufy cameras plus the doorbell. The camera routines work maybe 75 % of the time. The doorbell routine hasn't worked in over a month.

I just ordered a new doorbell during Black Friday. The one I had didn't work with Homebase so I got a newer model.

Anyway I decided to look at the Alexa issue again as It seemed none of my routines using motion from the cameras was working.

I found that even though my motion switches were shared it seemed they only worked one way. In other words if I changed the switch on the HE device page the switch would change in Alexa, but not vice versa.

So I tried removing all the switches and then re-adding them to Alexa, only they would not come back. I ended up having to create a new switch for every camera. and give it a new name. Using the same name would not work.

After I created a new virtual switch and added it to the Alexa app, I would then check and make sure it would work both ways. I could change the switch on the Alexa or HE side and the corresponding switch on the other device would change. After doing that and then moving my rules to the new switches they all seem to be working. Today I had about 30 camera events and the corresponding switch in HE turned on for almost every event. It did miss a couple, however.

FYI, using the swap device function to move rules from one switch to another seemed to cause the switches to stop working. So I either went in to each rule and manually changed it or cloned the rule.

So check the link after each change to make sure your switch is still talking to Alexa. I would have the alexa app open on my phone to the switch and the corresponding device page open on my desktop. I would change on each side and make sure it would change. Once I got through all 7 they now seem to be working.
