Error in logs from built in generic temp humidity sensor

I am sure this is just an erroneous reading from the device but probably warrants putting an
if reading?.value != null in the code to ignore bad/null data. Or i suppose it could be a reading of 0 degrees being interpretted as a null depending on how handled..

@bobbyD

Purely as an aside, and I know I could search, but what Z-wave sensor are you using in your freezer?

My ZSE44 works in the fridge section, but dies in 1.5 months in the freezer.

Thanks.

3 aa batteries. Last forever over a yr.

Sweet. Thanks. I'll look into it. I know you've done comprehensive research.

Likely not LR, but that's just a personal quest.

As an aside, for a side-by-side, monitoring the fridge section vs freezer might be better since it doesn't see the swings in temperature from the defrost cycles; less complex rule.

The ZSE44 keeps hanging in there, in the fridge side, despite the anemic CR2032 battery showing 17% left for months.

That is an old-■■■ z-wave sensor.

I used to have a few paired to my smartthings hub (was probably using @kahn-hubitat’s driver now that I think about it :thinking:).

That’s impressive if they still work in a freezer after all these years.

Or did they make newer models with that same form factor?
