Endpoint to update hub from dashboard button

is there such an endpoint .. if not can we add one.. getting tired of getting on vpn on 4 differnt hubs to update everytime a update comes out. lol.

thanks

if i do it i would put two buttons on the dashboard so both have to be on before it would update..
Same way i have reboot coded on my dashboard.. saves on accidentially hitting the button.

Yes, see the endpoints added in 2.3.9.176:

Thanks ... anyone have a rule already built that gets the token stuffs it in a variable and calls the firmware update? Just to save time. If so please post the exported xml. Thanks

I set one up, but found that it didn’t work. There was an issue somewhere that prevented it to work from a RM rule.

Not sure if @gopher.ny has had a look at it yet… If so, I will re-test.

This is designed to update multiple hubs at the same time, but it can do just the hub that it is on also.

unfortunately dont use hub mesh.. i dont need any commonality between distant hub devices. they are all in diverse locations

yep still brokken tried set variable from post response and both types of get response..

ie

same error when i tried a get or post with the token hardcoded..

Provides a push button....

yep writting rule but using to virtual buttons an dcalling the pushg command

Is 192.168.11.109 a Hubitat hub? If so, be aware that port 80 is blocked, and you'd have to use port 8080.

thanks will try with 80 but got it working with the firmware updater app which seems easier anyway,

thanks i think this would be the rule without usaing the updater app. but it just says trying to update hub xx at location xx .. not sure if it will reinstall the current firmware on only if there is a new version..

thanks all i now have the ability to update firmware via 2 buttons on all my cloud dashboard onthe 4 hubs.. So i dont have to vpn in and go throught the process in the future.
